SENIOR MANAGEMENT 

tom

Tom Watson – Property Manager

Tom founded PPM with his father, Jack, in 1993. Tom grew up in Acton, Massachusetts and graduated from Stanford University with a BA and later from Boston University with an MBA. He now lives in Portland with his wife Judy and their three children. On a typical Saturday, Tom can be found enjoying the day with his wife and kids: riding bikes, skiing, reading, watching movies, or just doing nothing together. Tom’s spirit animal is a redbone hound dog named Cassius. When he was younger, he was sure he would grow up to replace Rick Burleson as shortstop for the Red Sox. Items on Tom’s “Bucket List” include biking across American with his family, living on Prince Edward Island for a year, and spending some time in Spain.

Russ Pierce

Russ Pierce – Property Manager

Russ grew up in Burbank, California and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. His career has centered in customer service and business management. Russ worked for eight years at the Oracle Corporation in Redwood Shores, California and four years with his wife, Jackie, as owner and operator of Café Uffa! in Portland. Russ has worked at PPM as an owner and operator since April of 2000. He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and has attained Certified Property Manager designation. Russ lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and three children and enjoys mountain biking, skiing at Sugarloaf, golfing, cooking and playing guitar. When Russ was younger, he planned to be either a professional football or baseball player. Items on Russ’ “Bucket List” include spending a winter living at a ski resort and breaking 80 for 18 holes of golf.

 

 

RESIDENT RELATIONS

Jennifer Thurston – Resident Relations Manager

Jen has been employed with PPM since October 2009. She graduated from South Portland High School in 1996, where she took business core classes and worked in the school credit union. She is currently expanding her education by taking business and communication classes with The Rockhurst University, Star 12 Program. Her professional experience is primarily in customer service, which includes 12 years of waiting tables, bartending, and working with a delivery company as an assistant office manager. She lives in Gorham with her husband and four children. She is a Daisy Troop Leader, and stays active volunteering her time with the athletics departments and school. She enjoys ice-skating, roller skating, swimming, walking, and spending time with her family. When Jen was younger, she wanted to grow up to be a nurse. Items on her “Bucket List” include white water rafting, traveling outside of the United States, and going snorkeling with dolphins!

Julie Thibeault – Customer Service Coordinator

Julie was born and raised on the seacoast of New Hampshire and recently moved up to Portland. Before working in property management, Julie spent three years working in the hospitality industry at a small boutique inn located in Exeter, New Hampshire. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and likes going outdoor shopping. Julie’s spirit animal is an elephant. Items on Julie’s “Bucket List” include owning a dog, speaking French fluently and traveling to all seven continents.

Katrina Scholtz – Leasing Coordinator

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Katrina joined the PPM team shortly after moving to Portland in 2009. She is a graduate of Bridgewater State College, where she earned a degree in Psychology. Katrina enjoys spending time outside, whether she’s swimming, camping, boating, snowmobiling, or reading on the beach. Katrina doesn’t know about her spirit animal, but her Patronus would definitely be a stag, just like Harry Potter’s. When she was younger, Katrina wanted to grow up to be an Olympic swimmer. Items on Katrina’s “Bucket List” include biking across the United States, exploring Mount Roraima and completing an Ironman championship.

 

 

MAINTENANCE

Leyli Johnson – Director of Maintenance

Leyli spent her early years dreaming of becoming a fashion designer. She studied fashion design in NYC and Italy before giving it up to travel and experience different cultures. When it came time to “settle down,” she was drawn to Maine and moved to Portland in 1991. Alas, the fashion industry in Portland was not flourishing in 1994 when she began working for the fledgling PPM, but Leyli found she was a natural when it came to plumbing, heating, and general knowledge of buildings. She is still trying to figure out how to combine fashion with plumbing design. On a typical Saturday, Leyli can be found sailing her sunfish sailboat in Casco Bay. Leyli’s spirit animal is a crow. Items on her “Bucket List” include visiting Asia, going to a Dude Ranch, learning to Tango, and riding across the country on a motorcycle.

Rob Bolduc Maintenance Technican 

Rob was born in Lewiston and graduated from Lisbon High School. He worked as a prep cook and landscaper and built awnings before joining PPM in 2002. He is married with two children, a boy and a girl, who keep him very busy. He loves fishing, camping, golfing, and especially loves watching the Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers. On a typical Saturday, Rob can be found camping, golfing and/or playing with his kids. His spirit animal is a laughing hyena. Items on Rob’s “Bucket List” include going to Vegas, visiting Lambeau Field in the middle of winter, and playing more golf.

Kevin Hammond – Maintenance Technican

Kevin was born in Portland, ME and graduated from South Portland High School. He served for eight years in the Air Force and then returned to Portland. He worked as a baker with Mister Bagel for 17 years and went on to do renovation carpentry before joining Port Property in June of 2009. He has been married for 25 years and has two daughters in college. He loves fishing, golfing, and spending summer days at his Pettingill Pond camp with family and friends. On a typical Saturday, Kevin can be found fly fishing. His spirit animal is a bear. One of the items on Kevin’s “Bucket List” is to take a cross country trip along Route 66.

 

 

LEASING AND RENTALS

Bianca Garber – Director of Leasing and Marketing

Bianca has been with PPM since 2009, working in rentals, marketing and leasing. She moved around some before settling in New England, but has always had family roots in Maine. She graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a BFA in Creative Writing and English in 2006. She hopes to use her degree to spread proper semicolon use throughout the land. Bianca loves cooking for a crowd, reading, doing crossword puzzles, observing her cat, Chadwick, and most of all, swimming. Bianca’s spirit animal is an otter. Items on her “Bucket List” include living in Paris, building/owning a lake house, and baking one decent loaf of bread. Some of Bianca’s nicknames include B, Ancabee, Doodlebug, Biankita, Beaner, Beezie, Beez, Beez Louise, Button and Little Fat Frog.

Tyson Flagg – Leasing Manager

Tyson has been with PPM since 2010. He grew up in a small mill town in central Maine, moved to Portland to attend the University of Southern Maine, and graduated with a degree in history, which has proven invaluable in the real estate industry. He currently lives in the East End and enjoys sunny days on the Eastern Promenade, traveling, and eating at Portland’s many exciting restaurants. Tyson’s spirit animal is a hybrid of Oscar the Grouch and Eeyore. When Tyson was younger, he wanted to grow up to be a priest. Items on Tyson’s “Bucket List” include traveling, traveling, and traveling some more.

Stephanie Tranter – Leasing Agent

Stephanie joined PPM in 2011. She has just received her BS in Business Administration. She is RRP Lead certified, a certified notary public and manages her own four unit in Scarborough.  Originally from Gray, Stephanie is quite familiar with the Portland area, as she has lived, worked and schooled in Portland and South Portland for the past ten years. She loves to travel when she can and enjoys almost anything to do with the outdoors—camping, hiking, snowboarding, etc. Stephanie’s spirit animal is a hummingbird, because she is always moving and also because when she was younger, she hummed while preparing lunch. Items on Stephanie’s “Bucket List” include skydiving, hiking Cadillac Mountain to watch the sunrise, and going on a Mediterranean, Alaskan and/or Caribbean cruise.

 

 

APARTMENT REHAB

Sue Maheu – Apartment Rehab Manager

Sue Maheu is from central Maine. For thirty years, she was self-employed doing florist, ceramist and restoration work. In 2003, a career change brought her to PPM. She has six grown children and thirteen grandchildren, aged three to twenty. She has been married for seventeen years to her husband, Bob. Sue’s spirit animal is a dragon. When she was younger, she wanted to grow up to be a mother of 16 children. Items on Sue's "Bucket List" include going to Calgary Stampede and the Grand Canyon, and volunteering at a children’s camp.One of Sue’s nicknames is Atilla the Hunny.

Bob Maheu – Apartment Rehab Technican

Bob is from Fairfield, Maine, and is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He has worked for PPM since 2004, starting as a Resident Manager and is currently a member of the turnover staff.  Bob worked eighteen years for a major computer manufacturer and in several other customer service positions. He also operated a DJ Business, and owned & operated a ceramic shop with his wife, Sue. Bob and Sue have six grown children and twelve grandchildren. When Bob was younger, he wanted to either work with computers or be a politician, and he has done both. Items on his "Bucket List" include working for a major Nascar Race team, volunteering at Victory Junction Gang Camp, and attending a race at each of the Nascar venues: six down and many more to go!

Frank – Apartment Rehab Technican

Frank grew up a corn-fed farm boy in Indiana, went to school in Arizona, then moved to Maine and went to USM. He ended up staying in Maine because it’s a great place to live. In the short time he has been with PPM, it has been an enjoyable experience. The people at PPM make working seem less like work, and more like being with a big family. On a typical Saturday, Frank can be found anywhere his wife tells him to be. When he was younger, Frank wanted to grow up to be either The Six Million Dollar Man or Hannibal from The A-Team. Frank doesn’t have a Bucket List because he is immortal.

Heather Porter – Accounts Payable/Receivable

Heather Porter lives in Naples with her husband and two children. She has lived in Maine her whole life. She loves animals, and currently has two cats and a dog. She started working at PPM in 2003 when she was just eighteen years old. She enjoys working at PPM, but her favorite job is being a mother! When Heather was younger, she wanted to grow up to be either a veterinarian or a teacher. Heather has two spirit animals: a butterfly and a cat. One of the items on Heather’s “Bucket List” is to bring her children to Disney World.

Mark McCain – Assistant Property Manager

Mark has been with PPM since 2009, working with rentals, capital improvements, turnovers, and resident relations. He has a BA in business with concentrations in accounting and marketing. He was born and raised in Maine and moved back after graduating from Champlain Collage in Vermont. Mark loves to hike, canoe, sail, and travel. On a typical Saturday, Mark can be found camping, canoeing, working, or spending time with his family. Items on his “Bucket List” include sailing around the world, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and owning his own business.

John J. Rodney – Apartment Rehab Technician

John was born in Portland, ME, the youngest of fourteen children. He worked as a maintenance technician, cleaner and apartment renovator before joining PPM in 2011. John and his wife have been married for 19 years and have four grown children. John loves agriculture, raising and racing horses, camping, spending time in his Italian garden, fishing and being with his family as much as possible. Items on John's "Bucket List" include going to Hawaii, watching a Notre Dame game in person, and retiring on a lake.
