We are the largest privately owned residential property management company in Portland, with more than 700 apartments in over 70 buildings. The company's original name, Spring Street West, reflected our simple beginnings and changed as we have grown to our current size. How did Port Property Management grow so fast? Good timing, a great product, and lots of hard work. In 1993, Portland was filled with neglected buildings and poorly maintained apartments. With a love for the city in mind, a truck, and one employee, the owners purchased buildings and invested extensive time and money in order to make each apartment a desirable place to live. The goal, rent nice apartments to nice people. From the beginning to the present the company has taken great pride in breathing new life, color and functionality into the properties that we managed.
Today Port Property Management manages the largest portfolio of apartments in Portland while continuing to offer an excellent product and superb customer service. The Apartment Rehab and Maintenance Departments share in maintaining and upgrading the aesthetic of our buildings, with the goals of preserving the architectural integrity and contributing to the beauty of our city. Our Apartment Rehab Department holds high standards of quality. We regularly refinish hardwood floors and replace carpeting, linoleum, tile, countertops, cabinets, and appliances. To ensure tenants' safety and comfort, we routinely monitor and service our heating, plumbing, electrical and life safety systems.
From the beginning of your search for your perfect apartment, you will find our Rental Department to be professional, responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our goal is to help you find the apartment that is right for you. Once you have, we strive to make the application process as expedient and effortless as possible. When you sign your lease you will be provided with a move-in packet to help you become oriented with our company, your building, and the city. Any of your questions about the company, our policies and procedures, and the buildings will be answered fully.
Once you become a tenant, your concerns will be handled in a timely manner. Our Tenant Relations Department provides exceptional customer service and is always there to help. We will assist you with rent issues, lease renewals, difficulty with neighbors and other questions or concerns you may have.
Onsite resident building managers, which are employed at the majority of our properties, are there to keep the property clean and safe, address your day to day maintenance needs, and to answer any questions that may arise. They are the eyes and ears for the office, and they work closely with the Tenant Relations and Maintenance Departments to address issues rapidly.
Our Maintenance Department strives to respond to tenants' maintenance needs as quickly as possible. With comprehensive procedures in place, our skilled maintenance technicians will assess the nature of your maintenance issue, and work to quickly resolve the problem. Through our paging service, someone on our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to serve you in the event of an emergency.
