Removal of household trash and recycling is included in your housing. Receptacles for each are located on the Lancaster St/Elm St corner of the parking lot. You do not need to use city of Portland trash bags. All trash will need to be in closed bags and placed entirely inside the trash container. If you leave any household trash and/or large items in or around the building, you will be charged for removal and disposal. Recycling will need to be compacted as best as is reasonable and placed entirely inside the recycling container. No items (shoes, boot trays, mats) are to be left in any building common areas (stairwells, hallways, entranceways).
External bike racks are provided for bike storage. If you want to store your bike here, you need to contact us to complete a bicycle addendum and receive a bike tag. The bike tag must be clearly displayed on your bike at all times. Please contact us or come by our office (104 Grant Street) to complete the addendum and pick up your tag.
To use the doorbell/buzzer you need to have a telephone; it can be a landline or cell. Once you’ve established your telephone number, call the maintenance line (207-761-0832, ext. 1) and leave your address, telephone number and the reason for your call, and we’ll input you in the system. Once you’re in the system, when a guest pushes your apartment number, your telephone will ring. After you answer the call (if you want to buzz them in), you will be prompted to unlock the door with your phone.
Mailboxes are located in the vestibule. Each mailbox is numbered in accordance with your apartment and will be secured by key. There are larger boxes for packages. If you receive a package, the key for the package box will be left in your mailbox.
Utilities & Services
If any Internet, cable, phone, etc. company needs access to a secured area of the building, please call our Non-Emergency Maintenance Line at (207) 761-0832, ext. 1 at least 24 hours in advance. Leave your name, your new address, and the connection date. Please do not schedule any utilities to be turned on during the weekend or after hours if you need PPM for access or assistance.
Each apartment has access to both a hardwired Fiber Optic internet connection and Fiber Optic Wifi for an additional monthly charge. Please ask for details if you are interested.
